EVENT MANAGEMENT
(Formerly FESTIVAL MANAGEMENT
& EVENT TOURISM)
AIMS AND SCOPE
Event Management, an International Journal, intends to meet the research and analytic needs of a rapidly growing profession focused on events. This field has developed in size and impact globally to become a major business with numerous dedicated facilities, and a large-scale generator of tourism. The field encompasses meetings, conventions, festivals, expositions, sport and other special events. Event management is also of considerable importance to government agencies and not-for-profit organizations in a pursuit of a variety of goals, including fund-raising, the fostering of causes, and community development.
Event Management aims to be the leading source of research reports and analysis related to all forms of event management. This journal publishes refereed and invited articles, book reviews, and documentation of news and trends. It also invites opinion pieces, profiles of organizations, and management case studies.
Event Management is governed by an international editorial board consisting of experts in event management and related fields. This board conducts most of the manuscript reviews and therefore plays a large role in setting the standards for research and publication in the field. The Co-Editors-in-Chief receive and process all manuscripts, from time to time modify the editorial board, and work to ensure a continuous improvement in quality.
The journal is published quarterly and is sold by annual subscription only. Editors and the publisher are not responsible for views expressed by contributors.

See Final Accepted Manuscript/Disk below.]

All rights and permissions must be obtained by the contributor(s) and should be sent upon acceptance of manuscripts for publication.
A cover page should contain the title of the manuscript, all author names and their corresponding affiliations, because manuscripts are sent out for blind review. Identify the corresponding author and provide complete mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address. (Provide summer address and email if appropriate.)
The manuscript text should contain the manuscript title, abstract and key words for indexing purposes, main body (consisting of an Introduction, Literature Review, Method, Results, Analysis, and Discussion, and Conclusions, as appropriate), acknowledgments, references, figure legends, and tables. Figures should appear at the end or in a separate file. Do not incorporate figures and tables within the body of the text.

Follow APA guidelines set forth in their Publication Manual (5th edition) for text and reference list citations, per the examples. [Note: always provide citation page number(s) for quoted material.]
