FESTIVAL MANAGEMENT & EVENT TOURISM
AIMS AND SCOPE
Festival Management & Event Tourism, an International Journal, is designed to meet the needs of an evolving profession. Internationally the business of Special Events has grown to enormous proportions and now represents a significant contribution to the Tourism industry. Festivals and special events have been and will continue to be an important medium for nonprofit and public organizations to carry out their missions, and to be a catalyst for community development. Festival Management & Event Tourism will meet the needs of these related groups, specifically by chronicling research progress, documenting management and marketing developments, and fostering interdisciplinary work about this phenomenon.
Festival Management & Event Tourism is a referred journal published quarterly, sold by annual subscription only, to meet the needs and interest of event managers, researchers, related businesses, and those concerned with festivals and special events.
INFORMATION FOR CONTRIBUTORS
Festival Management & Event Tourism is published in four issues per annum. Neither the Editors nor the Publisher accept responsibility for the views or statements expressed by authors.
Manuscripts: Manuscripts must be submitted in triplicate. They should be typewritten on one side of the paper only, double spaced (including references), and should be checked carefully for accuracy. Manuscripts must contain original material and must not have been published previously. Material accepted by the Journal may not be published elsewhere in any language without the consent of the Publisher. All rights and permissions must be obtained by the contributor. These permissions should be sent upon acceptance of manuscripts for publication.
The title of the paper, all author names and corresponding affiliations, and name and complete address for mailing proofs should be included on a separate page, because manuscripts are sent out for blind review. Include telephone and fax numbers and email address for the corresponding author.
Submit manuscripts to the Editors. Include a self-addressed, stamped
envelope.

References: References should be placed at the end of the manuscript on a separate page, in alphabetical order, arranged to follow guidelines set forth in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (fourth edition).
Figures: Illustrations and diagrams should be kept to minimum. Place the first author's name and figure number in pencil on the reverse side. Figure captions should be typed on a separate sheet and be included as part of the manuscript, placed after the references. Submit black and white laser-printer quality figures. Lettering should be large enough to be legible after reduction to printing size.
Tables: Place tables on separate sheets at the end of the manuscript. They should not duplicate the text. Include a title caption and headings for columns. Avoid very wide or very long tables that would not fit printed page size.
Computer Disks: To speed publication and ensure accuracy, authors are requested to submit a computer disk that contains the final version of the manuscript along with the final paper version. Please observe the following criteria: 1) Specify what software was used, including which release (e.g., WordPerfect 4.0). 2) Specify what computer was used. 3) Include both text file and ASCII file on the disk. 4) The file should be single spaced and should use the wrap-around end-of-line feature (i.e., no return at the end of the line). All textual elements should begin flush left, with no paragraph indents. Place two returns after every element, such as title, headings, paragraphs, etc. 5) Keep a back-up disk for reference and safety.
Page Proofs/Offprints: Page proofs will be sent to the designated corresponding author. Minor corrections only are allowed at this stage. An offprint order form will accompany the proof.
Business Communication: All communications concerning reprints, advertising, subscriptions, changes in address, etc., should be addressed to the Publisher, Cognizant Communication Corporation, 3 Hartsdale Road, Elmsford, NY 10523, USA.
Copyright: Publications are copyrighted for the protection of authors and the publisher. A Transfer of Copyright Agreement will be sent to the author whose manuscript is accepted. The form must be completed and returned to the Editor before the article can be published.
